CUMBERLAND, RI – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island are thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its recent James J. McKee Memorial Golf Tournament, held on Monday, August 5th at the Kirkbrae Country Club. The sold-out event brought together over 120 golfers and raised an impressive $70,000, which will go directly towards supporting vital programming and services for local youth.
The event was made possible thanks to the generous support of presenting sponsors, including the Employee Community Services Association at Electric Boat, IDS Highway Safety, Inc., and Flood Mazda. BGCNRI also extends its gratitude to Lincoln Capital Corp, the event’s Platinum Sponsor. Additionally, the organization appreciates the contributions of supporting sponsors Amica Mutual Insurance, J. H. Lynch & Sons, and numerous other organizations and individuals from the surrounding communities of Cumberland, Lincoln, and Woonsocket.
Special thanks are also due to committee members Lynn L’Heureux, Tim Straight, and Lynne Couture. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment were instrumental in bringing this event to fruition. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island deeply appreciates their significant contributions, which played a crucial role in making this tournament a resounding success.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we received from our sponsors, participants, and volunteers,” said Erin Wood, Chief Development Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island. “The success of this tournament will have a significant impact on our ability to provide enriching programs and activities for the youth in our community.
